Or describe it

Tell Cutonce what you want to build and how big it should be, and it draws the plan.

Every part, drawn before you cut.

You see each piece go into place before you pick up a saw, so nothing on build day is a surprise. Scroll to put the slatted storage crate together, part by part.

Stuck at the bench? Ask.

Mark answers questions about the step you are on. The photo tools read a board or a piece of furniture from a picture.

Mark, which side of the line do I saw on?

Ask Mark about the step you are on, and add a photo if it helps. He knows which plan and which step you have reached, and he tells you he is software, not a person.

Example screen. In the app, Mark and the photo tools answer live.

An example of Ask Mark on step 1 of the crate: his opening line says he is software, then the question "Which side of the line do I saw on?" and an answer labelled "Sample answer".

What wood is this?

Photograph a board and Wood ID names the timber. Furniture ID and Repair tips read a photo the same way. Each answer is an AI estimate, and it says so when it cannot tell.

What is this clock worth?

Photograph a wooden piece and Valuation estimates what it is worth, with the reasons. It is an indication, not an appraisal.

From a plan to a finished piece in four steps.

  1. Home in the app: beginner plans led by Slatted Storage Crate, CO-001, with its time and part count.

    Pick a plan

Choose a piece you will use every day. Each plan shows the time, the parts and the tools before you start.

  2. The top of the shopping list of CO-001: the pine boards and the post to buy, tagged with the parts they give, and the total board length.

    Buy the boards

Take the shopping list to the shop. It names every board and fixing, so you buy once and forget nothing.

  3. A cutting step in the guide: the long slat, 610 mm set large between two arrows.

    Cut once

The length to cut fills the screen, so you mark it right and cut every part once.

  4. An assembly step in the guide: the long slats joining the end frames, screws marked in red, step 9 of 12.

    Build it step by step

Each step shows the new parts going in and where the screws go. Stop when you like: your place is saved.

Every number agrees, so you cut once.

Each plan is one model of the piece. The cutting list, the shopping list, the drawings and every step are read from it, so a length on one sheet is the same length on every other.

  • One model behind every sheet

  • I had never held a saw. My first crate was done in one weekend.

Why not a video or a free plan?

A video shows you someone else's build. A plan on paper gives you their numbers. Cutonce gives you the next cut, in your units, at the bench.

Questions

The things people ask before their first build.

Anything else, ask through the support form. A person on the team reads it.

What is Cutonce?

Cutonce is a woodworking app for people who have never built anything. Each plan comes with a cutting list, a shopping list, dimensioned drawings and numbered steps with a drawing each.

Every number comes from one model of the piece, so the list, the drawings and the steps always agree.

I have never built anything. Can I do this?

Yes. Start with a plan marked Easy: they take 2 to 4 hours. On a cutting step the length to cut is the largest thing on the screen, and you can watch the build play through before you pick up a saw.

If you get stuck, ask Mark, the helper in the app, about the step on your screen.

How does scanning a piece work?

Take a photo of a piece of furniture you like. The app works out its parts and their sizes and gives you a complete plan to build it: a cutting list, a shopping list, drawings and numbered steps.

Can I get a plan for something that is not in the library?

Yes. Describe the piece you have in mind and how big it should be. The app draws up a full plan for it in minutes, with the same cutting list, drawings and steps as every other plan.

What tools do I need?

Each plan lists its tools with a picture of each before you start. Every plan uses a tape measure, a pencil, a try square, a hand saw, a drill with bits, clamps and a sanding block, with safety glasses and a dust mask.

No plan needs a workshop full of machines.

How much does it cost?

There are two plans. The 3-month plan costs $39.99 for your first 3 months ($0.44 a day), then $99.98 every 3 months until you cancel.

The 1-week plan costs $6.99 for your first week ($0.99 a day), then $17.49 every week until you cancel.

Prices are in US dollars and include VAT where it applies.

Every plan and every feature in the app is included in the subscription.

What happens when I press Get Cutonce?

You choose a plan and pay on our checkout page, by card through Stripe.

Then you open Cutonce and sign in with the email you paid with and a 6-digit code we send to it.

How do I cancel?

Cancel any time in the app, under Account, "Manage subscription".

You keep access to the end of the period you have paid for, and you are not charged again.

Can I get a refund?

Today you pay $39.99 for the 3-month plan or $6.99 for the 1-week plan. We email you before your first full-price charge. Cancel before it and that is all you pay.

Changed your mind? Ask within 14 days of your first charge and we refund it in full, with no reason needed. A full refund ends your access and cancels the subscription.

Later charges, including the first full-price one, are not refunded as a matter of course, but you can cancel at any time and you are not charged again.

Ask through the support form. A person on the team reads it.

Who makes Cutonce?

Cutonce is made by Juicy Lucy AI, UAB, a company in Lithuania: Tiltų g. 19, LT-91249 Klaipėda, company code 307637084. Stripe takes the card payments.

Write to us through the support form. A person on the team answers within two working days.

Millimetres or inches?

Both. Choose one in the settings and every list, drawing and step uses it. Inches are written as fractions, the way a tape measure reads them: 610 mm is 24 in.

Which devices can I use?

Cutonce runs in the browser on any phone, tablet or computer. Sign in with your email and a 6-digit code.

Your progress is saved to your account at every step, so you can start on a computer and carry on with your phone at the bench.
